Fox Sports Florida:
MIAMI Dwyane Wade is a 10-year veteran who turned 30 earlier this year. He just wrote a book about the responsibilities of parenthood.
But Wade said he still makes mistakes.
The Miami Heat guard said he made the wrong decision when he pushed to play last Wednesday at the Los Angeles Clippers after having suffered a left foot sprain two days earlier at Houston. He aggravated the injury against the Clippers, and missed the next two games.
Its a big game you want to play, you want to be in it, Wade said after practice Monday about the 107-100 loss in the nationally televised game. I didnt do myself any justice playing in the game.
So I could have used the extra rest So you look back and say, Ah, I maybe should have done that. But you make mistakes and you move on from them.
Had he not played against the Clippers, Wade believes he still would have missed last Thursdays game at Denver but might have been able to come back Saturday at Phoenix. But the Heat were able to win both games...
BEST OF MAXIM
MIAMI Miami lost its first seven games in 2003-04. But there was plenty of reason for the Heat to believe bad times wouldnt last long.
Dwyane Wade was showing as a rookie he would pan out as the No. 5 pick in the draft. And there was another rookie, one not even drafted, who gave the Heat further reason to salivate.
During those seven Heat losses, forward Udonis Haslem played...
MIAMI -- Yes, LeBron James at barely 50 percent is still pretty good.Despite playing with flu-like symptomslast Saturday at Phoenix, the Miami Heat star capped a four-game stretch that was good enough for him to be named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday. It takes a lot for me not to play, James said after scoring 21 points and grabbing seven rebounds in the 97-88...
The Heat are coming off of their second title in the last six years, but instead of having Dwayne Wade and Shaquille O’Neal, they had Wade, Chris Bosh and Lebron James. It is no surprise that they were the champions, as they simply have the league’s top core and surrounded their superstar triumvirate with a fabulous group of role players. However, the Heat have actually improved...
Udonis Haslem is on the cusp of Heat history.
He enters Wednesday night's game against Milwaukee two rebounds away from passing Alonzo Mourning for Miami's all-time lead in that department.
Mourning grabbed 4,807 rebounds in 593 regular-season games with the Heat. Haslem is at 4,806 rebounds after 605 games.
Haslem has come a long way.
When he was trying to make the Miami...
While the Miami Heat were already expecting to be without Dwayne Wade last night against the Phoenix Suns due to a foot injury, an illness had LeBron James listed as a game-time decision. James was able to suit up and help the Heat beat the Sun 97-88 last night.James played for 41 minutes, scoring 21 points while grabbing seven rebounds. Following the game James said there was never...
Chris Bosh has taken the back seat to Lebron and
Wade no doubt but that may only be for a matter of time. Bosh has been clicking
from all cylinders as of late and he's really looking like he's
playing his best basketball in a Heat uniform. Eleven games into the season,
Bosh has lead the Heat in scoring four times in the first eleven games while
shooting a career high...
Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade said he plans to return from a foot injury tonight when his team takes on the Milwaukee Bucks, reports Michael Wallace of ESPN.After completing his second consecutive practice Tuesday without any complications, Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade said he plans to return from a foot injury Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks.Wade has missed the past two...
Chris Bosh has led the Heat in scoring four times in the first 11 games of the 12-13 NBA season.
While the Miami Heat proved plenty formidable on their recent road trip, they've been especially dominant on their own court.
The defending NBA champions, however, haven't had much of a home-court advantage against the Milwaukee Bucks of late.
In a matchup of first-place teams, the Heat try to extend their best home start in franchise history Wednesday night against the...
Shane Battier believes offensive players have had to adjust more to the rule than on defense.
While Rajon Rondo makes his run at a record night in and night out for the Celtics, Kevin Durant is quietly setting his sights on a slightly higher goal.
Without James Harden by his side, Durant has been making a run at the title of “best player in the NBA,” which is ostensibly held by LeBron James until further notice. However, as the Durantula continues to fill up the stat...
Despite me watching it last night, the NBA posted its new “BIG Color” commercial on YouTube today to celebrate both the holiday season and the surprisingly plain jerseys that some teams will be wearing on Christmas day. As we already know, the Christmas day NBA schedule looks like this:Boston Celtics at Brooklyn Nets New York Knicks at Los Angeles Lakers Oklahoma City Thunder...
