Sportress of Blogitude:
Miami Heat superstar and apparent fancy-schmancy sock aficionado Dwyane Wade showed up at shootaround before his team’s tilt with the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday rocking some styling “Cat in the Hat” themed socks. How very Seussian!
Ball Don’t Lie thankfully pointed out the interesting coincidence that the Heat’s opponents on the day D-Wade elected to don the red-and-white-striped socks happened to be the Warriors, as Golden State forward Harrison Barnes got all gussied up in full nightmare fuel regalia when he dressed up as the Cat in the Hat for a book reading last summer.
The Heat ended up handling the Warriors with relative ease, beating them by a score of 92-75. If they hadn’t, I imagine that in light of his choice of footwear before the game, I could have envisioned Wade stepping to the podium afterward and spouting off the following:
“Oh dear!” said D-Wade,
“You did not like our game...
What a shame!
What a shame!
What a shame!”
It would have been fitti...

Fan escorted from arena for taunting Dwyane Wade
Dwyane Wade will not have his buttons pushed and demonstrated such, Monday, when a Utah Jazz fan was escorted from his floor seats at EnergySolutions Arena by security after too much taunting of the Miami Heat guard.
First off, allow me to make this public service announcement…
Your expensive purchase of floor seats...
Imagine waking up from a nice nap and walking outside to find this.Well, if you did, your name is probably Dwyane Wade, and you probably have a girlfriend named Gabrielle Union. The Miami Heat star apparently woke up to the surprise of a brand new McLaren MP4-12C on Friday, which is valued at a tidy $230,000. Pretty fancy, huh? What is the occasion, you may ask? It's because Thursday...
Signs of an aging old man who has lost his confidence.
And a step or two.

The NBA will announce the starters for the 2013 NBA All-Star Game tonight on the NBA tip-off show on TNT at 7 p.m.
Usually those that are picked are not a huge surprise. Your Kobes, LeBrons, D-Wades and Durants all have enough popularity to ensure they will be in the starting five. Sometimes fans screw things up in getting Allen Iverson in there past his prime or voting in Shaquille...
