E’Twaun Moore is considerably more similar to Tim Duncan than most combo guards who played 331 minutes during their entire rookie seasons. Moore isn’t likely to one day sprout 10 more inches and become a Hall of Fame center, and he almost certainly won’t be the centerpiece of a team that wins four titles. But like Duncan, he plays with the emotion of a fisherman on a calm, fish-less morning and refuses to change his demeanor for anyone or anything.Watch Moore play basketball, even when he’s not playing well, and you get the sense that he feels like he belongs. Not just on the team or on the court, but with the ball in his hands, taking advantage of his opportunities. If he turns it over one possession, he’s just as likely to handle the ball on the next. If he misses a shot, he’ll hoist up the next one like he just drilled seven in a row. Confidence and poise are his greatest traits. He is the 75-year old driving 50 MPH in the slow lane as everyone beeps from behind him. He moves a...

It's only 3 days into the 2012 NBA Summer League, and thus far we have seen some promising moments from the Boston Celtics rookies, Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo, and Kris Joseph.
The above video is a highlight mix welcoming the draftees to Boston, featuring their best plays in their Celtics summer league jerseys against OKC, the Nets, and the Pacers, as well as some college footage...
The Summer League Boston Celtics are undefeated, people! As in, no losses! They have won while controlling a game for four quarters, and they have won with a desperate comeback led by a 6-foot-1 point guard (Jonathan Gibson) who played for a Turkish team called “Trabzonspor” last season. They have won with Jared Sullinger tossing bricks at the rim and they have won with him...
With baseball at the All Star break, basketball and hockey in our rear view mirrors, and football around the corner, we find ourselves firmly cemented in the middle of professional sports purgatory. Luckily, for rabid sports fans like myself, the Olympics will soon be coming to the rescue. The one in event I’m particularly looking [...]
We have our first “upset” of this year’s Madness. Former Celtic (have to get used to saying that) Ray Allen’s AJ XIII away p.e.’s were crushed by Rondo’s Huaraches. Now obviously I know much of Rondo’s votes may have come after Ray decided to jet for Miami, but the fans have spoken. Rondo’s Nike Huarache bball 2012 received 63% of your votes to move on to the next...
This came out of left field when I was reading Kelly Dwyer's column this morning, which pretty much rips Danny Ainge for spending $36 million on Jeff Green.
And Jeff Green, fully vetted as a wing apparently, will be relied upon due to the potential half-year absence of Avery Bradley, who will be out until midseason while he recovers from significant shoulder woes.
Irrevocable Differences with Rondo was Ray Allen’s number one reason why he left Ray Allen has taken less money to join the Miami Heat after departing Boston. Many have said that there are many reasons for this, and one of the main reasons was Allen’s deteriorating relationship with the Celtics’ starting point guard Rajon Rondo. [...]
Sales of Powerade are about to go waaaay down in Boston. The company seems to have decided to put up a billboard celebrating LeBron James’ first title win almost three miles from the TD Garden.

The Block Party is back after a week off to cover the NBA Draft with Celtics Hub’s Brian Robb. Robb will be coming on right away so be sure to tune in at 8 sharp. We’ll cover all the big moves across the league over the past week and especially break down the Celtics’ moves. [...]
Hey, I may not think Ray Allen is a traitor, but this is a funny little spoof starring Ray Allen, Rondo and Kevin Garnett.
Editor’s note: This post is from Jordan Higgs. He is likely to be one of Celtics Town’s initial crop of interns, who are plotting to take over the world one blog post at a time. Due to other obligations I still haven’t watched the entire game. But from what I’ve watched (the second half), well, JARED MOTHER-F%$&ING SULLINGER!!!!! If you also want to apply for an intern...
It’s the greatest internet fantasy geek tournament ever created, and it starts now. Plus it’s a hell of a way to pass the off season rumor mill and FA period by.
That’s right we have brought to The Sports Headquarters for the first time the All Time NBA Mock Draft.
The basis of the competition is simple, we took every NBA player that has ever laced them up and made them...
Every once in a while, Twitter reveals some interesting things. Usually, the social media network only reveals what Chad Johnson had for lunch, how many tummy crunches Brooke Burke Charvet did this morning or that Ashton Kutcher is still a dope. Occasionally -- such as when Mike Wallace's death prompted dismay from Pittsburgh Steelers fans mistaking the television journalist...

For maybe the first and last time I can say that the undefeated Celtics are playing the winless Nets. Has a nice ring to it. The Celtics have the late game today and hopefully will have time to get the jitters out...
