ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- E'Twaun Moore had 14 points in 30 minutes, and the Orlando Magic defeated the Detroit Pistons 87-86 on Sunday night. Orlando led by as many as 23, but Detroit kept its starting unit in late in the preseason game and closed the gap. But he left late in the third quarter with soreness in his left ankle and did not return. The Magic closed the first half with a 20-5 run. Greg Monroe led Detroit with 19 points. Orlando Magic Doing Away With Morning Shootarounds In Intriguing Change to Decades of Tradition

The morning shootaround is one of those things most NBA teams just do without wondering why they do it. It’s been done for years and it’s usually not too much hassle, so the tradition carries on. Orlando Magic coach Jacque Vaughn is finally questioning that tradition. His team has not held shootarounds before its games this preseason and he plans to do away with them for good...

Magic hungry to show growth after summer of building

Jeff Hanisch/USA TODAY A typical scene this summer for the Magic did not even happen at Amway Center. It happened in an Orlando apartment complex. Tobias Harris would come downstairs from his apartment complex and see Kyle O'Quinn's car still parked in the garage. A quick call to O'Quinn was a reminder -- that he probably did not need -- that it is time to go...

Former Hoosiers star Victor Oladipo has been Magic in Orlando

Taken second overall out of Indiana by Orlando in June, the 6-foot-5, 215 pound Oladipo continues to aggressively and fearlessly drive to the basket. Despite...

Oladipo has largely delivered with some bumps in the road, already pointing fans to go on triple double watch...
