After years of turmoil and disappointment, the Indiana Pacers have turned things around.
Fans expect them to contend for an NBA title, and so do the players.
When new general manager Kevin Pritchard decided to re-sign All-Star center Roy Hibbert and point guard George Hill to big contracts this offseason, it assured the Pacers of having the same starting five that led them to their first playoff series win in seven years.
Then they added depth and scoring punch to the bench, a move they could help them go deeper into the playoffs.
The Pacers open the season on Oct. 31 at Toronto.

Pacers forward Danny Granger, who has been out with a sore left knee, is making his preseason debut in Indiana's game against Cleveland on Tuesday night.
Granger, who didn't play in the Pacers' first five games, is in the starting lineup. Coach Frank Vogel said Granger will play 12 minutes and be increased to 20 minutes in the Pacers' final preseason game against...
How cool is this? Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert, with help from some of his friends, performed a flash mob at an Indianapolis mall on Sunday afternoon. Their song of choice? None other than viral senstation "Gangnam Style" by Korean rapper Psy. Good stuff.
The Indiana Pacers announced Monday they have exercised the team option on the contract for swingman Paul George for the 2013-14 season. George started all 66 games in which he played for the Pacers last season and averaged 12.1 points. The team also waived center Luke Nevill and guards Sundiata Gaines and Blake Ahearn. Gaines played in 57 games, including 12 starts, for the...
The Indiana Pacers brought Gerald Green to town on an extremely affordable deal that was one of the steals of this offseason. He’s always been freakishly athletic, but he never really put his game together until last year.
He began to show that he could use his natural skills to get to the rim and score, while producing some serious highlights at the same time.
We didn’t think...
The Indiana Pacers could be without top scorer Danny Granger for another three months.
The team issued a statement Wednesday saying Dr. James Andrews treated the forward's injured left knee with an injection Tuesday, and that the expected recovery process is about three months.
He was diagnosed with patellar tendinosis.
It's a big blow to a team that went into the season...
It took Gerald Green 15 shots to score 13 points in Indiana’s win over Cleveland, but who’s counting? As long as he continues to make regular contributions to SportsCenter, few outside of Pacer Nation will be focused on his field goal percentage. Not that his field goal percentage is bad, because it isn’t; Green is actually shooting nearly 48% from the floor this preseason...
The Sports Bank will be counting down to the opening tip of the 2012-13 NBA season with team by team previews starting with the worst and working our way to the title contenders. There is no lockout this time around so let’s get going.
Since the Chicago Bulls are without Derrick Rose, the Indiana Pacers become the new team to beat in the Central Division. Indy made a major...
We are all ready for Gangnam to go out of Style, but Roy Hibbert apparently enjoys watching the world burn. The International Song du Jour mixed with the timeless Flash Mob classic is a sad attempt by the Pacers’ PR team. But they are trying. It’s not everyday you see an 86 inch man performing a choreographed dance in a midwestern mall.

David West led Indiana with 15 points, and Paul...
The Pacers have trimmed their roster to 15.
There are some videos that we post here on That NBA Lottery Pick that don't need an explanation and this is one of those clips.Check out Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert getting involved with a Gangnam Style flash mob featuring members of Area 55 at the Circle Centre Mall in Indianapolis:
