I really like the Baby/Bass trade. Too bad the David West trade fell apart (and Jeff Green got lost for the year). I think the additions of West and Bass to last year's squad would have been enough to get us back into the Finals. I'm not sure we have enough offensive firepower as the roster currently stands. Pierce can't play 48 minutes a game. Regardless, watching...
Ray Allen is still the hottest shooter in the game right now as he poured in 23 points while hitting 7 of 11 shots from the field, including 4 of 5 from beyond the arc.
For those of you who love good tidings of great joy and unlimited positivity, savor that sentence. That's the only positive thing you'll get from this post.

Celtics guard Ray Allen is missing Wednesday night's game against the New Jersey Nets because of an illness.
Boston coach Doc Rivers said the 36-year old Allen skipped the team's shootaround earlier in the day and was told to say home because he wasn't feeling well.
Allen led the team with 27 points - 11 in the final quarter - in Monday's win over Washington.
No surprise here. Allen will be needed more tonight than he would have on Wednesday against New Jersey. Hopefully his sick day didn't cool off his shooting touch at all. The man's been a machine all year long and the Celtics could really use another off-the-charts performance from him tonight.

36-year old Ray Allen is once again proving that age is nothing but a number (for him, anyway), and clearly thinks he has a few more productive years remaining in the NBA. Allen hopes those years will be spent in Beantown, according to Fox Sports: “Ray Allen, a free agent after the season, hopes to re-sign with Boston and get another multi-year deal: ‘Yeah. That’s what I want...
8:45 a.m.: The Celtics could be without their top long-range shooter again Friday, with shooting guard Ray Allen questionable against the Indiana Pacers. Allen's absence due to flue-like symptoms Wednesday against the Nets did not prevent the Celtics from stretching their win streak to four straight games, but the Pacers are more formidable than the Nets. Indiana (4-2) returns...
After each game, we'll be taking stock in each players... and maybe coach's... performance. If we like what we see, we're buyin'. If we don't, we're sellin'. Or maybe we'll just hold onto our stock until we see more next game

BOSTON -- Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers knew a lot about former Purdue standout JaJuan Johnson, the team's first-round pick, going into last summer's draft.
The Boston Celtics have thrived since Paul Pierce's return to the lineup, even with one of their other stars missing one of those games.
The Celtics, though, are hoping Ray Allen can return from an illness for Friday night's visit from the Indiana Pacers.
With Pierce nursing a bruised right heel, Boston started 0-3 for the first time in five seasons but has bounced back...
