Greg Oden, the Trail Blazers' often-injured former center, was among the fans at the Rose Garden for Portland's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The 7-foot former No. 1 draft pick is good friends with Memphis guard Mike Conley, whom he played with at Ohio State. Portland waived Oden last March after five injury-plagued seasons with the team. He was recovering from his third microfracture knee surgery when he was let go and had not appeared at the Rose Garden since 2010. Oden was greeted with mostly cheers - but a few boos - when he was shown on the video scoreboard in the first quarter. Oden offered a peace sign in response. The Blazers took Oden with the No. 1 pick in the 2007 draft.

Blazers Damian Lillard: “I Think I can be MVP”

I’ve come to the point where I stop rolling my eyes when professional athletes make comments that appear to be lacking realism or cocky, simple because, this has to be their mindset if they are to be successful. Portland Trailblazers rookie point guard Damian Lillard, has been as good as advertised, probably better. He leads all first-year players points per game (19.0) and assists...

Portland Trail Blazers Stumble To The Finish Line

Everyone has at least one opportunity in their life to eat a little crow, and today is my time. Certainly not the first and most likely not the last time I will dine on the delicacy that is crow. In my post last week I stated that the Blazers making a last dash for the playoffs would be positive. I argued that the Blazers knocking the Lakers out of the playoffs would be more satisfying...
