Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports is reporting that former Louisville forward Francisco Garcia has resigned with the Houston Rockets. Garcia’s contract is reportedly for two years and worth $2.6 million. He’ll have a player option in his second year of the deal.
As of yesterday, it didn’t look like Garcia would be back in Houston. He became a free agent at the end of the season and was receiving interest from the Los Angeles Lakers, the New York Knicks and the Portland Trailblazers.
Garcia spent the first seven and a half seasons with the Sacramento Kings, but was traded to the Houston Rockets midway through last season. His last contract was worth $23 million over five years with Sacramento in 2008.
