Rockets leading scorer Kevin Martin is inactive for Friday night's game against Washington with plantar fasciitis in his right foot.
The 6-foot-7 guard is averaging 20.1 points. He'll sit out for the first time this season.
Courtney Lee will start in Martin's place. Martin and Luis Scola are the only Rockets who've started every game so far this year.
Martin had scored at least 20 points in four consecutive games, including 29 in Wednesday's loss to Milwaukee. Martin was shooting 48 percent (44 of 91) from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range (16 of 40) during that span.
