It’s a shame the Miami Heat have overshadowed what the Denver Nuggets are doing. If the Heat weren’t chasing down an NBA record for consecutive wins, we’d all be talking about the Nuggets a lot more. Denver is currently on a 15-game win streak, which is extremely impressive when you consider: A) how bad the Nuggets have played on the road up to this point (11-19 before the streak started) and B) the streak includes wins over the Los Angeles Clippers, the Memphis Grizzlies and the defending Western Conference champion Oklahoma City Thunder… twice. You would think getting this hot at this point of the season would be something to get excited about, but to hear Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari tell it, head coach George Karl is not breaking out any champagne. "He was not happy with us; he was pretty mad with us," said Gallinari. "The last two or three games we've been up and down. We've had some good stretches and bad stretches, probably because we'r...

The Denver Nuggets won their 15th consecutive game Saturday night against the Sacramento Kings, but coach George Karl wasn't happy with his players lackluster performance.
Following the Nuggets' 101-95 victory over the Kings at the Pepsi Center, Karl made it clear he doesn't want to hear his players say they're tired.
When George Karl was asked Saturday if the NBA should get rid of divisions and just have conference standings for the playoffs, he replied ”I’m even crazier than that.” The Nuggets coach would implement a top-16, where the top eight teams from the East and the top eight teams from the West would enter a pool seeded according to records. The Denver Nuggets are on the verge of their longest win streak in franchise history, but coach George Karl hasn't been pleased with his team's recent efforts.
After a pair of close calls, the Nuggets should get Ty Lawson and Wilson Chandler back as they try to make history Monday night when they visit the New Orleans Hornets.
Denver (49-22) matched its 1969-70 ABA team...
For a minute there, I thought I was the only one who thought the NBA playoffs should be a one game elimination instead of a dragged out seven game series.
From DenverPost.Com, Denver Nugget George Karl shared a few ideas on where he would like to see the NBA head in the future:
Do you think you should wipe out divisions and just have conference standings?
“I’m even crazier than...
Given their recent play without starting point guard Ty Lawson, coach George Karl wasn't surprised that the Denver Nuggets' lengthy winning streak came to end.
Getting back on track likely won't be any easier when Denver visits a San Antonio Spurs team that's seeking a sixth consecutive home victory Wednesday night.
Lawson has missed the last three games with a...
YouTube.com At this rate, Jim Ross should just call NBA games. Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins all but buried Denver Nuggets forward Anthony Randolph on Saturday night. Late in the third quarter of the Kings-Nuggets game, Cousins saw daylight between him and the basket and aggressively went for the dunk, clearing out Randolph’s lifeless body in the process. Like DeAndre...
