According to Mike Wells of IndyStar, Golden State Warriors head coach Mark Jackson thinks highly of a former teammate of his. Mark Jackson says that Reggie Miller is on the list of the best shooting guards after Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Jackson stated,

When you take Michael Jordan and you take Kobe Bryant out of the discussion, he’s as good as any two-guard that has ever played the game.

Sure, Mark Jackson has a point that Reggie Miller is on the list of best shooting guards. The fact that he said once Jordan and Kobe are taken out, Reggie slides up to the top can start up a heated argument. Jackson definitely left a broad statement and does not necessarily say that Reggie slides up to the very top once Jordan and Kobe are removed. Assuming he did have that intention, then Mark Jackson needs to be waken up from that dream and have someone yell, “Mama! There goes that man!”

Reggie Miller does not round out the lsit of top 5 shooting guards in NBA history. Although, he definitely makes the cut of the top 10 list. A top 5 shooting guard list could go a little something like this:

  • Michael Jordan
  • Kobe Bryant
  • Jerry West
  • George Gervin
  • Allen Iverson

1 Comment:
  • Hard to find any credibility in any all time SG list that puts Allen Iverson ahead of Reggie Miller.
