  Two years ago, if someone had said that Brandon Rush would have a severe impact in this league or on a playoff team’s success, people would have laughed or dismissed them. However, his impact, well lack of impact, is being felt in Golden State in the worst of ways. The Golden State Warriors are one of the surprise teams in the NBA this year, currently with the sixth best record in the Western Conference, but they are fading fast. This is because of two simple reasons, horrible defense and a complete lack of depth. If Brandon Rush had not torn his ACL in their second game this season, the Warriors would no doubt be poised to do some real damage in the playoffs, instead of looking like an easy first round opponent for one of the West’s elite, to finish off in four or five games. The Warriors are basically only utilizing 6 players a game, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, David Lee, Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry and 7 when Bogut is healthy.
