Blake Griffin hasnt given up hope of playing for the Clippers in their potential. playoff elimination game Friday night against the Memphis Grizzlies, but the final decision might be out of his hands. Griffin, whos being treated for a high right ankle sprain he suffered Monday in practice, said on Thursday he felt better and didnt rule out playing in Game 6 at FedEx Forum in Memphis. The Clippers are down 3-2 in the best-of-7 series. Even if he risks making the injury worse, Griffin said hes hopeful hell improve enough to help his team force a Game 7 at Staples Center on Sunday. If Im able to go and Im able to help us, then its really my job to play, he said before the Clippers charter flight departed for Memphis on Thursday afternoon. I owe it to my teammates. If I make the injury worse and theres no more season left, then it doesnt really matter because I have a lot of time to rest and heal. As long as I can help my teammates and help us, Im going to play....
