Memphis' victims include last season's NBA finals participants after it routed Miami 104-86 on Sunday before knocking off Oklahoma City 107-97 on Wednesday. The Grizzlies then defeated previously unbeaten New York 105-95 on Friday behind a game-high 24 points from Marc Gasol and 20 points and 15 rebounds from Zach Randolph. Rudy Gay added 17 points while Mike Conley finished with 16 and eight assists. "I think we are playing well right now, obviously," Conley said. "We have played some very good teams in the ...

POTD 11/17/12: Rudy Gay on MKG

What you’re about to see is a pretty strong right-handed dunk from Rudy Gay, but you basically knew that already.  So, I’d like to bring some attention to the remarkable play that made this whole sequence possible.  It’s actually kind of subtle, and I didn’t notice it the first time I watched the video, but once I did see it I nearly stood up from my chair and started clapping...

Marc Gasol hits Russell Westbrook in face with basketball (Video)

As Westbrook made a basket by shooting over Gasol, the basket bounced off Westbrook's own face into Gasol's hands. Gasol took the basketball and bumped it off Westbrook...

Is the Charlotte Bobcats’ Three-Game Winning Streak the Real Deal?

The Charlotte Bobcats at 4-3. I repeat: the Charlotte Bobcats are 4-3. A team that was a laughing stock in 2011 and really for the majority of their existence, is above .500 and playing some pretty inspired basketball. Head coach Mike Dunlap is better than advertised, and second year point guard Kemba Walker is looking [...]

Bizarre Finish Between Cats And Wolves Culminates In Kemba Walker Game Winner

Short four starters and half of their normal active roster, Wednesday’s version of the Minnesota Timberwolves were about as undermanned a team as I’ve seen since Don Nelson was forced to exercise a little-known rule and put a fouled-out Warrior in the game during his most recent stint with Golden State.
