Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley sat out Monday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers because of flu-like symptoms. Conley, who came in averaging 14.8 points and 6.5 assists, did not practice Monday afternoon and appeared at the FedExForum only shortly before the start of the game to be examined by doctors. Jerryd Bayless, signed as a free agent by Memphis in the offseason, started in Conley's spot and was expected to get most of the minutes against Cleveland. Josh Selby will back up Bayless. Conley's illness marks the first time this season that one of Memphis' five starters has not played in a game.

Zach Randolph fails simulated sobriety test

Sometimes a little locker room fun can turn out to be a little embarrassing. Check out the video of Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Randolph (a.k.a. Z-Bo) wearing a pair of “drunk goggles.” They’re designed to simulate the double vision, blurriness, loss of depth perception and coordination that happens when you drink too much.

Zach Randolph Takes Simulated DUI Test in Grizzlies’ Locker Room, Fails (Video)

The Memphis Grizzlies aren’t just an up-and-coming NBA team, but they’re also going pretty well to find creative ways to entertain themselves in the locker room. We’ll admit we’re missing a little bit of context for this video, but here’s what we know: On Tuesday, Rudy Gay tweeted out the below video with the message “Zbo doing the DUI test.” The video features Zach...

Memphis Coach Hollins Says Grizzlies “Are Playing Together”

Just a few years ago; the Memphis Grizzlies were charter members of the Association’s “Cellar-Dwellers” and the club’s General Manager Chris Quinn, seemed to be destined to wind up on the NBA scrap-heap. Quinn, fell far short of success holding the same position with the Boston Celtics and things did not seem to be headed in the right direction for the team he was now the...

MEMPHIS, Tenn. Raptors-Grizzlies Preview

Jerryd Bayless wasn't at his best as he replaced point guard Mike Conley in the Memphis Grizzlies' last game, but he came up big at the end. Bayless did the same thing the last time the Toronto Raptors were in town, yet he was wearing a different jersey back then. Conley could be back in the lineup Wednesday night against Toronto as the league-best Grizzlies try to continue...

Grizzlies rally to top hustling Cavs

MEMPHIS -- If a team wants to go deep in the NBA playoffs, it's got to win games even when it appears totally uninspired, at least early in a contest. That's exactly what the Memphis Grizzles did Monday night at FedExForum, recording an 84-78 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers after Memphis trailed for the first time this season entering the fourth quarter. The Grizzlies...

Cavaliers-Grizzlies Preview

The Memphis Grizzlies responded in positive fashion after the end of one of their longest win streaks in franchise history and might have the opportunity to start another run during the remainder of their season-high homestand. The Grizzlies will welcome three struggling opponents in a row to FedExForum, beginning with Monday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Memphis...

Box Score: Cavaliers 78, Grizzlies 84

This one stings a bit. The Memphis Grizzlies, without starting PG Mike Conley, came out torching the Cavaliers’ defense on their first few possessions. It looked like it could be a predictably rough game. But then Anderson Varejao went to work. Andy started rebounding like a man possessed and ignited the Cavaliers to take the first quarter lead. In fact, the Cavaliers would win...
