Found July 02, 2012 on Project Spurs:
San Antonio Spurs draftee Adam Hanga recently spent the better part of two weeks in the Alamo City working out with Spurs coaches along with fellow draftee Davis Bertans and several other players.

The Spurs must've seen something they liked in their time with the Hungarian prospect, because they will be sending former Spurs intern and current Austin Toros assistant Alex Lloyd to Hungary for four weeks to continue to work with Hanga and the Hungarian National Team in preparation for the European Championship Qualifiers.

Lloyd, who has worked under both Quin Snyder and Brad Jones for the Toros, is a smart choice for the Spurs. Part of his job with the Toros is player development and you will often see him out on the floor working with players, like he did with Hanga. The Spurs choosing to invest so much in a player, when they haven't done so for others including Bertans or Nando De Colo, could speak to Hanga's transition to the NBA coming sooner rather than later. It's unlikely that Hanga would come stateside for next season, but next summer may be the perfect time to bring him in with an aging Manu Ginobili being a year older. Hanga, at this point in his career, seems very similar to Ginobili after he was drafted. Hanga is still for the most part an unknown guard/forward with impressive athleticism that has the speed and skills to become an above-average defender in the league.

For more on Hanga, be sure to watch the video of Hanga's workouts in San Antonio.

Video: Reporter no match for Spurs' Bonner

San Antonio Spurs' Matt Bonner is one of the NBA's best shooters especially deadly from the three-point line. So when New Hampshire Union Leader writer Kevin Gray challenged Bonner to a game of "P-I-G" at his basketball camp, you knew the outcome would heavily favor Bonner. Bonner made an appearance at a basketball camp in his home state of New Hampshire and showed...

New deal on the way for Duncan with Spurs?

The 2012 free agency period is underway and to no one's surprise, the San Antonio Spurs haven't been one of the teams all over the rumor headlines. But, the most important signing for the Spurs this offseason will be re-signing future Hall-of-Famer Tim Duncan. According to ESPN's Marc Stein (just as free agency began), the Spurs and Duncan are sure to create a new deal...

Recently, San Antonio Spurs' 2011 NBA Draft pick Adam Hanga made a trip to San Antonio to participate in a two-week workout with the team along with draftee Davis Bertans. And though Hanga released some photos of his time in San Antonio along with photos of the workouts, there wasn't much video of said workouts. Check out this video of Hanga working out for the Spurs along...

The Game takes issue with Parker's suit of Manhattan nightclub

If San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker thought the only people opposing his lawsuit of of W.i.P, a nightclub in SoHo, were the clubs owners, he apparently thought wrong. Parker, who is no stranger to rap/hip-hop music himself is the subject of a few new verses added to a remix of The Game's Burn (h/t The Game is no stranger to dissing NBA Players with shots fired...

North Carolina Basketball: Former Tar Heel Danny Green Looking At All Options

What a difference a year makes. From an article I read about eleven months ago Danny Green was headed overseas to play basketball, unsure if once the lock out was over he would find his way back into the National Basketball Association. Now, after his Spurs went all the way to the Western Conference finals, losing to Oklahoma, the former Tar Heel is not just sure of playing in the...

Should the Jazz and Spurs starting talking trade?

One thing we know for sure about the San Antonio Spurs' offseason is that the team will re-sign Tim Duncan sometime on or shortly after July 11th.  After that, the Spurs' offseason is a bit of a crap shoot.  They have a couple of guys, Danny Green and Boris Diaw that we presume they'd like re-sign and a couple of European players, Nando De Colo and Erazem Lorbek, who...

TD contract talks going smoothly

The NBA free agency reports are flying about and it is enough to make any fan's head spin. Seems hourly some report surfaces with a player being sought by a team only to have yet another team and player linked together. However, probably the most assured free agency report you will read here at Crossover is the fact Spurs' free agent Tim Duncan is not going anywhere. TD...

Danny Green: “I wouldn’t mind playing for another winning organization”

The Celtics will be considering all available options when it comes to helping rebuild.  We’ve seen a number of names thrown around already.  But one interesting option has largely flown under the radar since an early report of interest nearly a month ago.  Danny Green. Green is a restricted free agent, and it will be tough to pry an up-and-coming young player who can play both...

Report: Spurs show interest in Ilyasova

The NBA free agency period is in full swing and if you are like me, you are probably getting whiplash. Sifting through the reports on possible player movement, the San Antonio Spurs are also in the mix of reports when it comes to attracting free agents. According to Fred Kerber of the New York Post, San Antonio is interested in Bucks free agent Ersan Ilyasova. Fred Kerber: #Nets‬...

One-on-one with Sixers' Elton Brand: Talking Tim Duncan

NEW YORK CITY - They are two of the more established forwards in the NBA - San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan and Philadelphia 76ers' Elton Brand.
