Atlanta Hawks: Josh Smith Trade Scenarios

Everyone NBA fan knows that the Atlanta Hawks are going to trade Josh Smith, so here are some possible trades for the star-caliber, but hot-headed forward. * The Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks have all been said to be interested, but they simply do not have the pieces to make a deal without a third team being involved in the trade(Mavericks...

Dirk doesn’t expect a Dallas trade

Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki doesn’t expect his team to make a trade. It’s not a surprise that he’s saying this as the teams owner Mark Cuban has been saying the team has “nothing going on” for a while now. Only difference is I wouldn’t necessarily trust Cuban he’s got to keep his cards hidden till the right time. Dirk well he’s got a good relationship with...

Five observations from Hawks' win over Kings

Here are five things we learned from the Hawks' 122-108 victory over the hapless Sacramento Kings on Friday, a high-scoring game that had a 1980s feel, even though Atlanta was decked out in retro uniforms from 1997: Josh Smith played like a man no longer carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders The box score indicates that Smith rolled the Kings for 18 points, six...

Mavs back from break fighting for playoff spot

DALLAS (AP) -- With or without Dirk Nowitzki, the Dallas Mavericks have virtually the same record this season -- a losing one. If they don't start winning at a pace reminiscent of the three 60-win seasons they've had in the Nowitzki era, the Mavericks are likely to miss the playoffs for the first time since the big German's second year in 2000. But Dallas better be...

Rumors: Josh Smith likes the Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks are one of the top contenders to land Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith, and lucky for them, it seems Smith is interested in them as well.  The concern for any team that trades for Smith is that his contract is up after this season.  So the team who gets him will either need to work out a new deal or just use him for half a season.According to Ken Berger of...

Smith, who remained in Atlanta after being discussed in talks leading up to Thursday's trade deadline, came through with his defense one day later. Al Horford led Atlanta's balanced scoring with 24 points and the Hawks overcame...

Jordan Farmar, Sasha Vujacic & Team Get Pranked

via reddit I am very confused because I don't speak Turkish but wiser men than I have translated this song.  Basically they are saying "I've never known anybody more beautiful than you".  Pretty awesome tribute to the team if you ask me.  Americans are too fat and lazy to pull something like this off in appreciation to their professional sports.  I am actually...

Rumor: Hawks interested in Blair

With rumors flying around the league about every available player, DeJuan Blair hasn't been immune to any of it. With rumors of several teams who may be interested in Blair, you can add the Atlanta Hawks to teams who "might" have an interest in Blair. While no clear suitor has emerged yet, San Antonio seems confident that they can find a taker for Blair and it could...

Mark Cuban Wonders If Lakers Should Amnesty Kobe Bryant

Huh? Mark Cuban went on ESPN Dallas radio Friday morning and openly wondered if the Lakers should amnesty Kobe Bryant to free up their $100 million payroll next season if Dwight Howard stays in LA. If the Lakers remain $30 million over, their luxury tax bill $142.5 million next season (stat via ESPN).  Cuban admits it’s unlikely but think’s it will be a legitimate question as...
