The Miami Heat opened up the preseason today against the Atlanta Hawks.  Among those active and eligible to play were LeBron James and Dwayne Wade.  Mario Chalmers will not be available.  Wade and Chalmers have been nursing injuries, and it just wasn't clear leading up to the game if James would play.  Wade will be listed as day-to-day throughout the entire preseason. According to a Associate Press report, Chalmers has been battling a minor injury and will get some rest.  Wade, who had knee surgery in the offseason, will test his knee and will likely work his way up in minutes-played. "I feel good," Wade said. "That'll be coach's decision. But I'm going to try to come in and do what I've done every day, get to the gym and work out and see how I feel from there."The Heat are coming off their first NBA Championship since forming the Big Three of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh.  They struggled in their first season together but were able to put things together to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in last season's finals. James, Wade, and Bosh battled injuries throughout all of last season, and Wade has had to struggle through injuries more and more as his career has progressed.  They will need all three and the rest of the supporting cast of characters to remain as healthy as possible in order to defend their championship.
