Three teams down, at least three more to go.
The Miami Heat took its turn talking to LeBron James Friday at the IMG Building in Downtown Cleveland.
They obviously had a lot to talk about; the meeting lasted nearly three hours.
The Heat contingent was at IMG even longer as they arrived about 45 minutes before James, who arrived about two minutes before the 11 a.m. meeting was to begin.
Yesterday, the New Jersey nets spoke with James for about 90 minutes and the New York Knicks stretched their discussion to about two and a half hours.
As Heat President Pat Riley, coach Erik Spoelstra, VP Nick Arison, and a few other Heat executives filed out they past the incoming Los Angeles Clippers group of two: acting general Manager Neil Olshey and executive Andy Roesner; the smallest group yet to meet with James.
“Did (Riley) get fined for going over his allotted time?’’ Roesner joked in passing.
The Heat did not comment as they left the building at about 1:50 p.m.
