According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Miami Heat are contemplating signing Michael Beasley, who was waived by the Suns this week following an arrest in early August for possession of marijuana. The 24-year-old forward spent two seasons with Miami after they drafted him 2nd overall in the 2008 NBA draft. He averaged 14.4 points and 5.9 rebounds in two seasons with the team. The two-time defending NBA champion Miami Heat are considering the possibility of bringing back troubled free-agent forward Michael Beasley, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Several of the Heat’s key veteran players are supportive of the signing of Beasley, and he has a strong interest in returning to the franchise responsible for taking him with the second overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft, sources told Yahoo.
