Chris Andersen will get his second chance in the NBA.  After missing most of this season with legal trouble and no team to play for, Andersen will have at least ten days to try to earn a more permanent spot with the Miami Heat.  Miami has been in need of a back-up center for some time now, and Andersen could fit the bill.Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel says the Heat have signed Andersen to a ten-day contract.  This means the team will give Andersen a chance to prove he belongs full-time.  Andersen will begin working out with the Heat immediately. As mentioned earlier, one of Andersen's draw-backs was his legal problems.  Andersen is being investigated in Denver for an allegation of improper relations with a minor.  A woman whom Andersen claims presented herself of legal age online has brought a potential case against the long-time Nuggets player.  Charges have not yet been filed in the case."There has been an investigation and I have cooperated fully with the authorities in Denver,'' Andersen said, declining to take questions on the issue. ''I am not the target of the investigation and no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed against me. I'm grateful for this opportunity that the Miami Heat has given me.''Andersen last played during the 2011-12 season with the Nuggets.  He averaged 5.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.  In his career, Andersen has averaged 5.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
