The San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat have different personnel and characters on their teams, but one thing that can't be denied is that they play a similar style on the basketball court.
We'll be seeing some of that Sunday when the Miami Heat visit the AT&T Center, but don't think that Heat's LeBron James is unaware of the similarities either.
"We play similar games, I know that," James said, as he looked ahead to Sunday's game at the AT&T Center. "And the fact is that we move the ball, and it's like no pressure on anyone to have to score. It's all about getting the best shot.
"We work our offense and we're very patient and then see what happens. So we have some similarities for sure." (Sun-Sentinal.com)
The Spurs have always been a team that plays unselfishly and it doesn't matter who has the ball. That's what made the Spurs a threat and a championship team for many years and the ...

After LeBron James’ run-in with the Chicago Bulls earlier this week, it was obvious that the New Orleans Hornets were set to take a beating at his hands on Friday.
The Miami Heat defeated the Hornets 108-89 and as the video shows, James was playing in top form.

As the Miami Heat’s 27-game win streak came to a bitter end in Chicago on Wednesday, a timeless debate resurfaced: who is the greatest player in NBA history? Despite the fact that LeBron James and his team fell short in the house that Michael built, James has begun to show signs that he’s superior to Jordan.
Basketball enthusiasts and purists...
So what if the Heat’s ridiculous winning streak was snapped by the Chicago Bulls? People are acting like LeBron and the Heat aren’t still tearing their way through the league in route to a consecutive championship. LeBron is playing like a man possessed and when a man with that ability is possessed…it’s a problem for his haters and the rest of the league.
On Friday night...
Excellent analysis going back to LeBron’s Cleveland years in this piece by Kirk Goldsberry at Grantland on “The Evolution of King James,” a must-read for basketball fans and especially Cavs fans.
Which is all for today here. Hopefully we’ll be back tomorrow with a customary Tribe season preview.
How better to put the streak being over and the whole mess about him "complaining" to rest then to go out and do what he does best?
Because, you know, he is pretty good at this...
Pat Riley is not happy.
On Thursday, Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge let his feelings be known about LeBron James and his complaints about officiating. After James complained that the Chicago Bulls got away with flagrant fouls that weren’t called during their 101-97 victory over Miami, Ainge called James’ protests “embarrassing.”
“I think the referees...
You expect bloggers, fans and sports radio hosts to react to LeBron James’ whining about officiating. But an NBA general manager?
Yesterday on WEEI, Danny Ainge joined the fray:
“I think the referees got the calls right. I don’t think it was a hard foul,” Ainge said of the mixups involving James and Heinrich, as well as another one involving James and Taj Gibson. “I think...
Miami Heat forward LeBron James said Friday that he doesn't care what other people think about the comments he made over the hard intentional fouls he encountered Wednesday night. "I actually
BOSTON – Heat President Pat Riley had a sharp response for Celtics Director of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge Friday evening after Ainge mocked LeBron James' complaints about officiating. Riley told media in Miami, "[Ainge] needs to shut the **** up and manage his own team. He was the biggest whiner going when he was playing. I know that because I coached against him...
Following Miami’s 108-89 win in New Orleans Friday, in which LeBron James scored 23 points in less than six minutes, former NBA player and current Hornets head coach, Monty Williams, was asked whether LeBron dominates games similar to how Michael Jordan did. Williams, who played against MJ, gave a fairly straight forward answer and dissed the league’s current players.
Nobody has too much information on the man who referred to as ‘Worldwide Wes.’ William Wesley has been known to rub elbows with anyone and everyone. While the man is an employee for Creative Artist Agency, we aren’t quite sure what is job is. He’s close with Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Allen Iverson and Richard Hamilton, and many other players in the NBA. He seemingly is...
Back in the fall of 2009 I had the opportunity to do a feature story on then Seminoles star (and highly recruited McDonalds All-American) Chris Singleton. Sunshine State hoops was not what it is today, and the thought of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh on the same team wasn’t just a pipe dream, it wasn’t even conceivable. FSU was in the middle of another...
