NEW YORK - The Suns were expecting Grant Hill to be a valuable piece when they signed him a two-year deal at just more than the league minimum salary over the summer. But the bargain is getting bigger all the time.
In his best game with Phoenix, Hill scored a season-high 28 points Sunday, including the first nine of the fourth quarter, when the Suns turned a one-point lead into a boat race and ran away from the embattled Knicks 115-104 at a very testy Madison Square Garden.

In the battle of age versus exhaustion, the old men had the edge on Thursday night in Phoenix, as the Suns pulled ahead in the second half to beat the Timberwolves, 104-95.
It was one of those results you could see coming for weeks, and that almost made it worse. It was the final game of a back-to-back-to-back for the Timberwolves and the Suns' first game since before the All...

Following Grant Hill’s 10-of-11 shooting from the floor in Game 2, an appreciative Head Coach Alvin Gentry called out the starting small forward in his postgame locker room speech.
There was only one problem, though. The 15-year veteran was still out on the floor.
Between stopping to address the media on his way back to the...

The problem with consistency is that sometimes it’s taken for granted.
One becomes so accustomed to it, that it becomes expected. Therein exists the rub with Grant Hill.
Unassuming and matter-of-fact, Hill virtually has gone unnoticed during this recent hot streak by the Suns. The Suns co-captain has helped propel Phoenix to...

They say the third time is the proverbial charm.
For Grant Hill, it would be the third game of the season.
The veteran forward racked up a team-high 21 points in Friday’s home-opening 114-106 loss to the Lakers at US Airways Center.
Going a game-high-tying 10-of-17 from the field in 34 minutes, it was Hill’s first...
