Fox Sports South:
This Horford news is an absolutely crushing blow to the Hawks. The Hawks announced that two-time All-Star centerpower forward is expected to miss three to four months with a shoulder injury.
If there's a player the Hawks couldn't afford to lose, it would probably be Horford. The guy has been playing out of position -- at center -- since his rookie season for a Hawks squad that is thin up front. And, with all due respect to Zaza Pachulia and Jason Collins, Horford's replacements don't rank too high on the skills chart.
Atlanta will have to get creative and determined to keep this injury from keeping them out of the postseason for the first time in five seasons.
Check back later for Hawks reaction and my own analysis of what the Hawks canshouldwill do moving forward.

Al Horford Out 3-4 Months With Shoulder Injury
It didn't look good for Al Horford and his Atlanta Hawks when the All Star big man went down during the first quarter of Wednesday's game at Indiana. It looked pretty bad actually. The Hawks were outscored 27-9 in the third quarter tonight and they couldn’t recover from it. The Hawks only shot 37.5% from the floor tonight and that’s pretty pathetic. Josh Smith (16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) and Joe Johnson (15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal) led the way for the Hawks tonight. Zaza Pachulia finished...
Court Report: Pectoral tear costs Al Horford his season
Al Horford has been diagnosed with a torn left pectoral muscle and will miss at least the next three months of the season. This ends his fantasy season for all intents and purposes and is a huge blow for the Hawks and his fantasy owners. Zaza Pachulia becomes the starting center and a low-end option in standard leagues - given 30 minutes, he can average around 10/8 with unimpressive...
