NEW ORLEANS -- Playing without No. 1 overall draft pick Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson scored 17 of his team-high 27 points in the second period to lift the New Orleans Hornets to a 114-105 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Monday. The Hornets raced to a 25-point halftime lead with outstanding perimeter shooting, but Davis limped off the court with a sprained left ankle just before halftime. Davis had 11 points and six rebounds in the first half, but he was wincing in pain as the Hornets medical staff looked at his left foot. Davis missed 11 consecutive games earlier this season with a stress reaction in the same ankle. He did not play in the second half, and the injury was diagnosed as a sprain. The Hornets (14-27) blew open the game in the first half by making seven 3-pointers on their way to a 64-39 halftime lead.
