Houston Rockets, Dillon Brooks agree to four-year, $80 million deal
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Free-agent guard Dillon Brooks has agreed to a four-year, $80 million deal with the Houston Rockets, according to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Brooks’ agent, Mike George of One Legacy Sports, informed Wojnarowski of the deal.

Wojnarowski also reported: The Grizzlies are finalizing a sign-and-trade with Houston on Dillon Brooks’ new deal and will generate a substantial trade exception, sources tell ESPN.”

The deal elicited some surprise on Twitter, including the usual peanut-gallery reactions. But can you blame them? That’s a lot of dough-re-mi.
