James Harden has made himself a new and comfortable home on the roster of the Houston Rockets after being traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder in late October. The Rockets signed the versatile and highly skilled Harden to a contract extension. The dynamic player has rewarded the Rockets, averaging 26.2 points/game while leading the team to a 35-30 record heading into Friday’s game against the Timberwolves, good enough to be sitting as the current 7th seed in the Western Conference playoff race. And while Harden hasn’t quite been greeted with the hysteria or food-based frenzy that occurred in Oklahoma City as he and the Thunder marched to the NBA Finals last season, Harden is a Rockets fan favorite. And if he does manage to lead the Rockets to the playoffs, the fervor surrounding him likely will be matched in Houston. For Rockets fans lucky enough to attend Houston's April 9 game against the Phoenix Suns, you are in for a treat.
The new star of the franchise, James Harden, will be commemorated with his very own bobblehead.
And it is the greatest bobblehead of all-time.
Darren Rovell tweeted a picture of the bobblehead on Thursday, which features Harden in the Rocket's road red uniforms...
Rockets' James Harden has been tearing it up since being traded from the Thunder and currently averaging 26 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.7 rebounds in 38.4 minutes of play.
So it comes to no surprise that Rockets fans will be treated to a bobblehead of Harden in April and in true fashion, the bobblehead will be sporting an epic beard.
