The Celtics have won 5 straight vs Orlando, including all three match-ups last season. One of the victories was a 31-point beat down and another included a comeback from a 27 point deficit. Rajon Rondo missed all three games last season due to injuries.

BEST OF MAXIM
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
He submitted a forgettable first half against the younger, quicker, more agile Thunder. But, when the third quarter started, the captain stamped his imprint on the game, ripping off seven straight points (a fallaway...
This is just totally embarassing for Celtics' Paul Pierce and it came courtesy of Magic's Jameer Nelson.
Let's set it up:
The scene: Orlando, FL, Amway Center
The victim: Boston's Paul Pierce
The outcome: Pierce gets decimated by a hesitation move by Nelson which causes his ankle to get shattered along with his knee to buckle.
Though Boston and Pierce would...
Year after year, Paul Pierce has been a foundational rock for the Boston Celtics. Throughout his career, he has filled a myriad of roles and willed his team to wins in the clutch, but his game has evolved over time. Always a crafty player, "The Truth" has fine-tuned his post game, hesitation dribble, ball fakes, step-backs, and jump shot in order to stay competitive despite...
BOUND FOR THE FLOOR
Paul Pierce had a good game in their 116-110 overtime victory over the Magic Sunday night. But while Pierce poured in 23 points on the offensive end, all we want to talk about is how he almost lost a leg on the defensive end to a crossover dribble from Magic guard Jameer Nelson.
Gotta move those feet, Paul.
The post Here’s Jameer Nelson hitting Paul Pierce with a crossover that...
Surprised to see so much Big Baby hate. I've felt that the Celtics got the best of the deal but I though Baby was doing pretty well there. Guess not. A lot of ref complaints but I thought the refs missed stuff on both sides but didn't favor either. Of course, what would a CFTOS be without a Paul Pierce wheelchair reference? My favorite comments are in bold. ...
Also, I forgot to note, we could have traded Paul Pierce to the Clippers and maybe got some draft pics and prospects. I am just sayin!
Comment and debate!

Is it too early to start the campaign for Rajon Rondo as MVP of the 2012-2013 NBA season? Never too early to try…. It’s been almost ten years since Steve Nash or anyone won the MVP with stats similar to Rondo. I’m going to break down Rondo’s season so far stat wise vs. Steve Nash’s 2004-2005 season to make my point because you can always find stats to make your argument...
Trading places: Green played well against his former team
Saying "best win of the season" is cliche. But so far, this was absolutely the best win of the season. The Celtics beat the Thunder 108-100, in a game that was hardly in doubt in the final quarter. The Celtics were led by Paul Pierce who was absolutely on fire, putting up 27 points on 8-16 shooting, and of course...
For those who like watching records fall or just enjoy following stats, their eyes are surely following the box scores of Rajon Rondo as he approaches the all-time record for consecutive games with 10 or more assists.
Rondo logged 15 assists against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, giving him 35 games in a row with double-digit dimes, just two behind John Stockton for second...
Jameer Nelson pulled off one of the most simple non-crossovers I have seen in quite sometime, and it sent Paul Pierce tumbling to the ground. Check out how Pierce’s legs just buckled underneath him as Jameer created more than space. Paul was forced to pick up his jock-strap following the embarrassment.
And yes, Jameer missed the shot.

Paul Pierce scored 22 of his 27 points in the second half and the Boston Celtics snapped a two-game losing streak by beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 108-100 on Friday night.
Kevin Garnett had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Celtics, who led by as many as 14 in the second half and held on after the Thunder cut it to three points with under 2 minutes remaining. Rajon Rondo had...
Paul Pierce has done this a million times. Early in games, late in games, in the middle, it does not matter when. Pierce knows exactly how to finish things off and how to brush off any failures. When he stepped into a wide-open 3-pointer with 2:10 left in overtime to break a 108-108 tie, it was old hat for him.
For the Magic, it is not quite second nature to win these close games...
A lot of people aren't that high on Joseph, because he doesn't have the Sportcenter athleticism, but I like the kid and I think he has an NBA future. So far Jospeh has played well in Summer League, preseason, and now in the D-League. I like how he filled out the stat sheet yesterday (8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals, to go along with the 28 points). I would...
On Friday night the Celtics matched up against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team brought their three time scoring champion, Kevin Durant and old Celtic fan favorite Kendrick Perkins. The Celtics looked to battle to stay above .500 and did just that, finishing the week on a strong point with a win 108-100.
The team opened up strong in the first half shooting 52.4% from the field...
