Fox Sports Wisconsin:
Ersan Ilyasova wants to leave the Milwaukee Bucks and play overseas, according to an interview the 24-year-old forward had with Turkish website, Salsabasket.
"My future is not clear yet, Ilyasova said, through translations by sportando.net. I have one year left with Milwaukee Bucks and everything is in standby. I definitely want to leave the team. I am in contact with my agent for all the details. With the Euroleague Final Four in Istanbul, Turkish teams are very high on the market.
My biggest dream is to play for a Turkish team.
Multiple reports indicate that Ilyasova has already signed a three-year deal in his home country of Turkey, with the team Fenerbahce Ulker.
Given the NBA lockout, it is not known how Ilyasovas reported contract in Turkey would be handled once the labor situation is resolved.
Ilyasova, a former second-round pick of the Bucks in 2005, has started 65 games for Milwaukee over the past two seasons. In three total NBA seasons, including one in 2006-07 before he left the NBA to play in Spain, Ilyasova averaged 8.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per-game in 21.1 minutes.
If Ilyasova does remain in Turkey even after the lockout ends, the Bucks have several players on the roster who play the same position. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is a restricted free agent, and GM John Hammond gave the defensive-specialist a qualifying offer prior to the lockout and seems intent on retaining him. Milwaukee also has second-year big man Larry Sanders, as well as veteran Drew Gooden. All three would likely see increased playing time if Ilyasova does not return.
