Indiana Pacers: C.J. Watson and Chris Copeland Signing Grades

Watson’s Contract: 2 years, Bi-Annual Exception, Chris Copeland: 2 years, $6 million.
Analysis: The Indiana Pacers headed into the 2013 off-season with one glaring need, and that was to beef up their bench. Indiana took the Miami Heat to 7 games in the Eastern Conference Finals, but fell just short, mainly due to their bench. They didn’t get consistent offense or defense from the second unit and Larry Bird made it clear immediately when he came back to the Pacers, that the bench was their first priority.
The Pacers made a quick signing by bringing in backup point guard C.J. Watson. D.J. Augustin was signed last off-season by Indiana and just never seemed to be able to find his groove.
