As I continue to find out Knicks fans thoughts I have asked a very popular member of the basketball community Kyle Inman, otherwise known as @Dr.Hoppenstein on twitter.
We have had numerous conversations on twitter discussing the makeup of this Knicks team, so let’s find out what Kyle has to say.
Firstly Kyle thank you for agreeing to do an interview for KnickSwag.com. Let’s get started with the questions.
Leon - The Knicks have made plenty of moves again this off-season, from those players that have been brought in who is give the Knicks the most?
Kyle – I believe Raymond Felton will prove to be the biggest acquisition of the off-season. If he can hold down the starting point guard position and play like himself before he was traded out of New York then then Woodson will have the luxury of bringing Jason Kidd off the bench. He got caught out of shape last season, but he wasn’t the only one as players were presuming there would be no season. I really think Felton will thrive playing with scorers like Carmelo and Amare. He’s a proven distributor that’s playing with a chip on his shoulder.
Leon – Do you think Rasheed Wallace will end up with a guaranteed contract and if he does what are you expecting from him?
Kyle – I think Rasheed will make the team and be the main backup to Amare. He hasn’t played in a few years, but he looks like he’s in good shape. He has great size, is known to be a good defender, and can shoot the 3 or score in the post. He’s old, but not as old as Kurt Thomas so I think he could become the clear cut No. 2 power forward if healthy. This gives Woodson the luxury of playing Novak at the small forward.
Leon - Knicks have some big front court players that should control the paint, how much of an edge does this give the Knicks over teams in the East?
