Anderson Varejao is having, without question, the best year of his career. He’s the league’s leading rebounder, and it’s not close. Varejao is pulling down 15.3 boards per game for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Zach Randolph, who’s sitting in second, is at 12.7. On top of that, Varejao is also averaging 15.1 points per game. His previous career high was 10.6 points per game last year. Varejao is pretty much a guaranteed double-double every night. He’s going to be on the wish lists of a lot of teams as the trade deadline approaches. In fact, he may be the most coveted prize of this year’s trading season. In the past, the Cavs have been willing to part with the eight-year veteran, but they’ve asked too high a price. This year the price might be worth paying, but ironically, it might not be what the Cavs want. Cleveland has always asked for a lottery pick (or a couple) for Varejao, but no one wanted to give up that much for a big man who was just going to put up eight and eight. Now t...

Executive: Varejao The Top Target' If Available
Anderson Varejao could be the top trade target this season -- if he's available.
Could Anderson Varejao end up in Boston?
Teammates Soon?
Anderson Varejao is one of the polarizing players, you love when he plays for your team but hate when he plays for the other guys. I personally am of the latter; I could never stand the guy. Just the way the Side-Show-Bob-look-alike plays grinds my gears and when Benedict LeBron was still in Cleveland, they were a match made in heaven. The flopping, the whining...

Box Score: Cavaliers 79, Pistons 89
You knew this game would be tough to win, with the Cavaliers starting backcourt out with injuries and the Pistons playing good basketball as of late. For a while, that’s exactly what happened, with the Cavaliers falling behind by 20 points in the first half and trailing by 17 at the half.
In the 4th quarter, the Cavaliers made a good effort to try to get back into this one. With...
Reality sets in as Cavaliers fall without Irivng, Waiters
“To be honest I do not think you can make up for it.” — Byron Scott, 12/3/12
It wasn’t all that long ago when a Cavaliers-Pistons match-up was must-watch television. If you need proof, just ask Tayshaun Prince, Jason Maxiell, Anderson Varejao or Daniel Gibson — the only four men to play in the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals who happen to still be playing for their respective...
The Cleveland Cavaliers, off to a perfect 3 and 11 record
. The Cleveland Cavaliers season is shaping up to be one of the greatest in rebuilding history. I couldn’t have scripted it better myself. I thought they would be bad, while not being bad enough to improve their roster. I thought that they would be just bad enough to lurk around .500, and that they might even sneak into the playoffs. However I pleasantly surprised to see...

Bulls-Cavaliers Preview
Kyrie Irving's absence caused enough headaches for the Cleveland Cavaliers well before having to contend with a hobbled Dion Waiters.
Beating the Chicago Bulls has been a challenging chore no matter who is in the lineup.
Waiters may miss a second straight game as Cleveland looks to avoid a 10th consecutive loss to visiting Chicago on Wednesday night.
