Cleveland Sports 360:
I know it is only the per-season for Kyrie Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers, but I am liking what I see so far with the NBA’s number one overall pick. Irving needs to work on his shots from the floor but his free throws have been fantastic. Irving has an .875 average from the strip. That is .735 better than LeBron James at this point. James never was the best free throw shooter anyway.
Think about how many times the Cavaliers would have won if only they could hit a few more free throws. Irving has shown so far he takes those shots with dead accuracy. Kyrie is going to make a huge impact in the NBA in his rookie year and I for one am glad he is wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers uniform. If the Cavaliers can get a few more practices under this teams belt I think the team will do fine.
Kyrie is going to help the Cavaliers win more games that is for sure. Winning more games than last year isn’t what I mean here either, Irving should be able to help Cleveland win for years to come.

Irving has shown the willingness and fearlessness to play a fast-pace style of offense. But is he durable enough to absorb the elbows and forearm shivers that come with repeatedly driving the lane?
Mychel Thompson, a training camp invitee, remains on the roster

With the Cavaliers preseason contests in the rear-mirror, four of the five starting positions are in ink. The last remaining role: the team’s starting point guard spot with a competition of sorts still ongoing between Ramon Sessions – who started both preseason games – and rookie, first-overall draft selection Kyrie Irving.
With four days remaining until the Cavs tip off...
