Pro Sports Daily:
Veteran guard Derek Fisher is eligible to return to the Los Angeles Lakers in the event that the team wants him back. NBA officials verified that the Lakers could re-sign the 38-year-old Fisher without a waiting period, ESPN.com reported. It was reported previously that Fisher could not return to the Lakers until next March because of a one-year waiting period after the Lakers traded him to Houston. But the Rockets bought out Fisher before he could invoke a contract option for this season and that means he's eligible for free agency on July 1. Fisher finished last season with Oklahoma City, which reached the NBA Finals. The Lakers apparently are interested in listening to trade offers for Chris Duhon or Steve Blake.

Derek Fisher is free to sign with the Lakers due to a wrinkle in the new CBA.

However, Bryant showed he still has some spring left in those old legs of his as he swatted Gordon Hayward off the backboard. Hayward looked a bit shocked as Kobe went up and blocked his lay-up attempt. To make matter worse for Gordon, the ball hit him in the shoulder...

The Lakers currently have four point guards on their depth chart, with Steve Blake, Chris Duhon and Darius Morris backing up Steve Nash.
Steve Nash was offered a three-year, $36 million contract from the Raptors, which was considerably more money than what he eventually received from the Lakers.
The Lakers were able to turn a series of cost-saving trades into the acquisitions of Steve Nash, Jordan Hill, Robert Sacre and Darius Morris.

Steve Nash is no longer a member of the Phoenix Suns, and yet, inexplicably, the Suns have decided to continue fielding a team.
Actually, we all knew it would come to this someday. We knew the Suns existed before Nash. We kind of figured they might after Nash, too.
That time has arrived. And hey, it could be considerably more grim. In fact, some people might tell you the fact Nash...
