Assuming the money makes sense, it wouldn’t be very difficult for the Blazers to convince Jamal Crawford to join their team. He’s fully on board with the idea. From the Oregonian: “Free agent guard Jamal Crawford says he wants to come to Portland and he openly lobbied to do so at Aldridge’s charity event Sunday. Crawford, an 11-year professional from Seattle who averaged 14.2 points and 3.2 assists for the Atlanta Hawks last season, said the Blazers are like a ‘hometown’ team and his preferred destination. ‘I think I bring a little bit of everything,’ Crawford said. ‘Scoring, creating for other people, trying to make the game easier for my teammates. Whether it’s starting or coming off the bench, it doesn’t matter.’ Aldridge has publicly endorsed the Blazers adding Crawford and Crawford insists he would be a good fit on a roster that already includes Brandon Roy and Matthews at shooting guard. Around the league, players love Jamal Crawford. He is a popular guy in league locker rooms. And he’s a guy who can come off the bench and light it up — he’s not going to be efficient doing that, and he’ll get lost on defense every other time down, but he’ll put up points. That’s…
Something just didn’t seem right about 30-year old shooting guard Joe Johnson last year for the Hawks. He played in 72 games (all starts) for the Hawks last year and he averaged 35.5 minutes, 18.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. Johnson has now played in 771 games (701 starts) in his NBA career so far and he is averaging 36.8 minutes, 17.7 points, 4.2 rebounds...

PRP injections on Wesley Matthews right ankle were successful, free agent Jamal Crawford wants to be a Blazer and Chris Johnson discusses his wild summer playing in the Dominican Basketball League.
It’s a cool November weekend in Atlanta. The leaves are turning. The city, fresh off of summer, settles in for fall sports. It is beginning to feel like hockeys season, but for whatever reason, the fine people of Atlanta aren’t showing. Even with the Atlanta Hawks on the mend because of the NBA Lock Out, the Thrashers have had a tough time drawing.
The Thrashers have long...
Highlights from the Damien Wilkins Monster Slam in Atlanta, GA ft. Shannon Brown, Jeff Green, Louis Williams, Derrick Favors, Jordan Crawford, Jarrett Jack and of course Damien Wilkins.
As I traveled around the league during the 2010-11 season, I kept hearing that some owners were willing to lose a season in order to get a more favorable CBA. I didn’t believe it, especially since the season ended up being a success. What good would it do owners to get a better CBA if they damaged their popular product in the process?
But now it appears that’s where we’re...
Nobody told Jeff Teague he had to stick to the script. Before last summer’s Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Hawks and top-seeded Bulls tipped off, Teague was cast as a bit player. The 6-2 point guard, Atlanta’s first-round draft pick in 2009 who was on the verge of being labeled a bust, had averaged just [...]
Jeff Green is the first player highlighted in this mix, so after the 15 second mark you can stop watching if you like. And yes I was surprised as much as you were than Damien Wilkins has his own game.

Another NBA player charity game, another round of Kevin Durant highlights. This was the Rip City game hosted by LaMarcus Aldridge up in Portland and it featured James Harden, Jamal Crawford (with the sweet pass to himself) and a host of other stars. Since this is what will have to pass as NBA basketball for…
