You know how we know James Harden has officially made it? Is it because he was given the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award for the 2011-2012 season and has helped lead the Thunder to the Western Conference finals? That helps, but there’s more to it than that. As GiANT Impact CEO Jeremie Kubicek showed us on Twitter Tuesday night, Harden has been made into a cake. As far as honorary cakes are concerned, this is one of the most detailed we’ve ever seen. Athletes have been made into cakes before, but they usually consist of a two-dimensional picture or portrait of the athlete on top. As you can see, this is Harden’s entire head (beard included) in cake form. This is more in line with the Robert Griffin III sandwich than anything else we’ve witnessed. Perhaps food artists are just that much more talented these days. Thanks to Darren Rovell via Ball Don’t Lie for sharing the picture with us

Eight shot during Thunder celebration

Eight people were reportedly shot outside of Chesapeake Energy Arena on Monday night as fans celebrated following the Thunder's elimination of the Lakers.

If this James Harden cake had a secret ingredient, it would be nightmare fuel (pic)

GAH! Don’t eat the damn thing, kill it before it kills you! Obviously, this photo of a cake made in the likeness of the head of Oklahoma City Thunder guard James Harden has been making its rounds around the interwebs over the past 18 hours or so, but I couldn’t just sit here and not [...]

(Video) A look at Ginobili, Harden

Even before he stepped on an NBA court, Oklahoma City Thunder's James Harden wanted to emulate his game after San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili and now the two will finally square off in the 2012 Western Conference Finals. Both are deadly coming off the bench for their respective teams and both have won the Sixth Man of the Year award before. So while many may be looking...

OKC Thunder Send Lakers Packing, Meaning James Harden Gets Last Laugh Over Metta World Peace

Metta World Peace was punished harshly and justly for his elbow to the head of Thunder guard James Harden last month. Artest's seven-game suspension, however, paled in comparison to the punishment that Harden and the Thunder delivered to Artest and the Lakers in the last couple of weeks. The Thunder sent the Lakers home for the summer on Monday night, dispatching World Peace...

Russell Westbrook Had The Play of The Night During Series Clincher

Russell Westbrook can switch gears in a matter of seconds and when it mattered most for the Oklahoma City Thunder, he did it again during the Thunder’s knockout win against the Lo Angeles Lakers. Check out the circus shot that Russ made while getting fouled. Pretty incredible. via Quickish Article found on: Cosby Sweaters

Movin' on up: Oklahoma City Thunder advance to next round

Last night the Thunder ousted the L.A. Lakers from the NBA playoffs. I can't say I'm disappointed. I CAN say I'm pretty happy about that. I dislike Kobe Bryant so much as a human being that I find it impossible to root for him. Yes, I'm a girl. I have a hard time separating a player's personal behavior with his athlete's persona. Don't even get me started...

Parker Plans To Attack Westbrook

Tony Parker vows to be aggressive against Russell Westbrook and the Thunder.

Video: Thunder mindful of limiting turnovers, Durant has enough of Spurs questions

The Oklahoma City Thunder coughed up the ball plenty of times during the regular season but so far in the playoffs,  they have cut back on turnovers which has led to them having a successful playoff run. And Oklahoma knows that they must keep this up if they want any shot at winning the Western Conference Finals series against the San Antonio Spurs. Check out what Russell Westbrook...

Thunder face one more giant to get to Finals

OKLAHOMA CITY Playing the Los Angeles Lakers has a special feeling. More than just games, there seems to be drama on every possession. Even their press conferences drip with emotion and adventure the stuff of made-for-TV movies. There's Kobe and Gasol. There's Andrew Bynum and the debate over what's going on his head. And of course, there's Metta World Peace&...

No games to be viewed outside OKC’s arena, anymore

Monday night was a great night for the Oklahoma City Thunder organization. They took another step in the right direction, beating the Los Angeles Lakers 4-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals to advance to the WCF. But I am not writing about Kevin Durant or Russell Westbrook or how well the Thunder played against the Lakers. I am writing about the aftermath of the Thunder’s win...

Thunder Alley forced to change after shooting on Monday

Chesapeake Energy Arena in downtown Oklahoma City has been living up to that Energy portion of its name all year long. Thunder fans have that place rocking through television screens all over the country, and have done so ever since OKC first entered the playoffs a couple years ago. With Kevin Durant's first trip to the Western Conference Finals set to commence, it's only...

VIDEO: Russell Westbrook Makes Unbelievable And 1 as Thunder Knock Out Lakers

During the third quarter of last nights Thunder – Lakers playoff game, Russell Westbrook intercepted a pass from Ramon Sessions intended for Kobe Bryant. As Westbrook stormed down the court, Sessions tried to wrap him up, but Westbrook got a shot off. Take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6fiqs8AuD0 That just happened. Kobe Bryant can’t even believe it. Either...

Previewing the conference finals: Spurs vs. Thunder positional matchups

I like to think we’re in store for a great Western Conference Finals. We’ve got the veteran team with the experience and the championships and we’ve got the young up-and-comers looking to start a dynasty. The Oklahoma City Thunder were crowned the Western Conference champs before the season even started, but with the way the San Antonio Spurs have been playing lately...

Thunder sinks Lakers, prepares to battle Spurs in West finals

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Thunder hopes to make more noise in the Western Conference finals that it did last year. A year after losing in five games to the Dallas Mavericks for a berth in the NBA Finals, the Thunder will play the San Antonio Spurs in the West's championship series. Game 1 will be Sunday in San Antonio. Setting up the matchup with the top-seeded Spurs...

Like Bledsoe, Harden could have big series vs. Spurs

Whenever I walk into the visitor’s locker room at the AT&T Center, home court of the San Antonio Spurs, two of the most common objects I see are a white marker board and a T.V. screen with Spurs footage being played continuously. As the Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder wait patiently to face each other on Sunday, there’s probably one Thunder player taking notes of the Spurs’...
