Found April 09, 2013 on Celtics Life:
Wow, shocker, someone that used to be on a New England team is praising the old team he used to be on. Jason Collins wants to be back in a Boston Celtics uniform, because well, it is not as great on the other side. Doc Rivers, the biggest Jason Collins supporter, praised Jason after they played against each other on Sunday. He's the best, he's one of the best guys I've ever had in the locker room, player or coach.Doc uesd to barely play Collins, but for some reason, thought we should start Jason from time to time. Jason Collins was a professional and left the team with championship aspirations to join a team that was rebuilding (Washington Wizards) with a trade that landed us Jordan Crawford for him and Leandro Barbosa. With the injuries they had (in Boston), they needed another scorer. Jordan Crawford, he's definitely capable of doing that. So it's part of the business. Jason Collins averaged basically nothing for the Boston Celtics, but his leadership and ...

Doc Rivers admits he gets other team's coaches to help him

In a Celtics.com article by Marc D'Amico, Boston's head coach revealed that he frequently asks opposing coaches why they choose to defend his team in certain ways.  Said Rivers: “It’s nice when you play, honestly, a team that’s not in the playoffs and you know the coach, because after the game you can ask what their reasoning is for choosing one or the other. It...

Randolph’s emergence may help, not hurt, Chris Wilcox

With just a handful of games left, there’s a hyper-focus on who might get minutes when the playoffs begin.  Last night, Doc went with the big lineup he promised when he made Jeff Green a starter:  Avery Bradley, Paul Pierce, Green, Brandon Bass, and Kevin Garnett.  That moved Chris Wilcox to the bench, and created an interesting little “Shavlik Randolph vs. Wilcox” scenario...

- Okafor and Ariza's Return; Road Woes; Temple, Martin or Price Next Season?

How well (or not) does the return of Okafor and Ariza bode for the WIzards? What can prevent the Wizards from getting homesick when they play away from DC? Besides Martell, which other future free agent deserves to keep his Wizards uniform for next season? Mike, Jamal and Trevor have the answers to all these questions in this week's 3-on-3... 1. Recently, Trevor Ariza...

Celtics beat Wizards 107 to 96 in KG Return

The Boston Celtics defeated the Washington Wizards 107 to 96 tonight at the TD Garden. Pierce and Garnett both returned to the lineup, which gave the entire team a nice boost. This win was a full team win, as 5 players scored in double figures and 3 more almost did. Flat-out the Wizards were no match for the Celtics talent. KG was sharp in his return to the court, but the leader...

Video: Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett talk upcoming playoffs - 4/9

It's easy to for us to forget now, but it did seem like the Celtics and Nets had a little rivalry starting when they met each other earlier in the year. The Celtics haven't played Brooklyn since destroying them 93-76 on Christmas day.

Here Comes Super Bass

The C's 107-96 win last night over the Wizards may have been credited in part to the return of KG and Truth but don't discount the effort submitted by Brandon Bass.  The usually quiet Bass turned in a very audible 20 points (on a remarkable 9-of-12 shooting clip), 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block in helping Boston take its 40th victory of the season.  Just in time...

Wall vs. Bradley: Mutual Respect for Contrasting Players

John Wall has started to play like the guy who was drafted first overall in 2010. He’s been having huge games and grabbing some wins over playoff teams for the lowly Wizards. Just 24 hours after dropping 37 point on Indiana with 64% shooting, Wall looked like barely an all-star versus the Celtics. Why? Avery Bradley. The Game Changer smothered Wall, covering him the entire length...

Locker Room Video: Garnett's Back!

The Celtics beat the Washington Wizards in a game that featured the return of Paul Pierce (who sat the last game due to an ankle injury) and Kevin Garnett, who hadn’t played since March 8. However, it was Brandon…

Garnett’s return lifts Boston Celtics over Washington Wizards 107-96

Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce returned tonight, the Celtics moved Jeff Green into the starting lineup for good (and Courtney Lee to the bench, sorry Courtney), and the Celtics put together a quality win over John Wall and the Washington Wizards. A 19-3 run put the Celtics up big in the third quarter and the C’s cruised to an easy victory aside from a collective brain-fart by the...

Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks 2. LeBron James, Miami Heat 3. Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder 4. Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers 5. Derrick Rose, Chicago...

Your Morning Dump..Where The C’s Are Impressed By Shav’s Toughness

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Since Jared Sullinger went down for the season with a back injury, the C’s have struggled to find another “blue collar” guy. Wilcox simply has not had enough time on the floor, and Bass just does not fit that...
