by Brett PollakoffFiled under: Heat, Magic, Wizards, NBA VideosJason Williams has been suspended for one game without pay for making contact with an official, the league said in a release on Friday. Williams picked up two quick technicals with 58 seconds left in the Magic's lopsided 112-83 victory over the Wizards on Thursday, after arguing an offensive foul call that went against him on the previous play.
Williams continued to plead his case to the official after the ejection, and made brief contact as the two were walking toward the scorer's table. The referee briefly stopped and glanced at the left side of his body, likely to emphasize to Williams that he had gotten a little too close.
The suspension will be enforced Friday night, when the Magic take on the Heat in what will be Miami's first home game of the season.
Video of the exchange between Williams and the official can be seen in the clip below. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
