The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Philladelphia 76ers Monday night by a final score of 105-96. The Bucks moved to 4-2, and the Sixers fell to 4-3. The Bucks made their first 8 shots of the game. Then they started turning the ball over like crazy for a stretch spanning the first and second quarter, and let the Sixers hang around. Then the Bucks went on a run, Jennings caught fire, and they found themselves up 16 in the Third. Then more turnovers, and bam, game is tied up going into the Fourth. Then more Jennings on fire, and the Bucks put em away in a pretty entertaining game, with the Bucks withstanding lots of runs by the Sixers. I think Jennings was pissed – Sixers guard Jrue Holliday(same draft class as Jennings) got a 4 year, 40 mil extension. Jennings, as we know, did not. Jennings definitely outplayed Holliday on Monday scoring 33 points, with 8 assists. (Jrue Holliday is a turnover machine). Most impressive about Jennings play, it was efficient. He went 12/21 from the floor, and only had one turnover. The Bucks shot 51% on the evening. Random thoughts from the game: 1) Jennings had 4 steals in the game. Jennings is averaging just under 4 steals per game, and leads the league. 2) Saw an Ad for Henry Weinhard beer. Looks like it is made in Oregon and Milwaukee?? I sense another brew review coming. 3) Jason Richardson threw down a 360 dunk with ease during the game. It was a breakaway. I don’t know why, but this surprised me. I guess it seems he should be to old for doing that. Too old physically, and too old in a veteran sense. Once you’ve been in the league for a few years, don’t you just give it the basic one hander when you get a breakaway? Especially in a ho hum early season game? (of course, if I could do a goddamn 360, I would do it every chance I could). 4) Nick Young for the Sixers has a awesome ‘fro. It just flows in the breeze. In other news: 1) Turns out the Lakers didn’t want to pay whatever the Zen Master was asking. Or they just didn’t want him, depending on who you listen to. So Mike Dantoni it is. Not sure how he, or his offense, fits with Kobe. Good for Nash, or at least the Nash of a few years ago, but not so sure about Kobe. The more I think about this team, the less sense it makes. Kobe is a ball control guy, so what is Nash’s role? Though, I think I mighta said the same thing about the Heat a few years ago, but I guess that is working out. 2) Memphis absolutely spanked the Heat last night. I love this Memphis team, and I think they have a legit chance to come out of the West. Really. Here’s the Sixers Dance team:
