flynn Jonny Flynn To Meet With The Bulls

Point-guard free agent, Jonny Flynn, of the Portland Trailblazers, will meet with the Chicago Bulls on Friday according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports.  The 23 year old only saw action in 18 games last season where he averaged 4.5 points and 3.3 assists. CSN Chicago reports that he will be at the Berto on Friday to participate in practices with the Bulls Summer League team.  As of right now, the Bulls only have Kirk Hinrich and rookie Marquis Teague slated to fill the point guard slot while Derrick Rose is rehabbing.  Flynn is also garnering interest from the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Atlanta Hawks.

Blazers will match offers for Batum

Portland Trail Blazers general manager Neil Olshey says the team will match any offers for French swingman Nicolas Batum. Olshey's comments came Wednesday after speculation the team might be working on a sign-and-trade with Minnesota, which was interested in the restricted free agent. Olshey said he believes Batum has more value than what Minnesota would be able to offer. ...

Blazers shore up forward position

The most pressing needs for the Portland Trail Blazers as they move through the summer are at point guard and power forward. The early focus has been on moves to fortify the frontcourt. The Blazers have signed one European forward (Victor Claver) and will soon sign another (Joel Freeland). And there were unsubstantiated reports that J.J Hickson, a restricted free agent who finished...

Bulls Shopping Kyle Korver

The Bulls have agreed to inform Kyle Korver on Sunday as to whether or not they will pick up his option for the 2012-2013 season.  Until then the Bulls are reportedly exploring trades that would send the 3-point specialist to Atlanta or Minnesota. Per the Chicago Sun-Times: “A different source said the Bulls were exploring sign-and-trade possibilities that could send Kyle Korver...

Really sucks somebody took to Twitter to say what they did about Batum

Twitter is a tremendous tool. It is an amazing medium to exchange news and information, and connect on some level with people all over the world. It is also the worst thing ever though when idiots log on to spew hate as far as they can throw it. In a most recent event of ignorance, that hate was directed at Nicolas Batum and his girlfriend. Really awful stuff. Blazers Edge had...

C.J. Watson To Become Unrestricted Free Agent

The Bulls will decline a $3.2 million option on C.J. Watson's contract.

Hinrich comes back home to Chicago

The Chicago Bulls knew they wouldn't be able to make a big splash in free agency this summer, so they brought back an old favorite. The first player to agree to terms in July was veteran guard Kirk Hinrich, who spent seven seasons with the Bulls from 2003-10. He was traded to the Washington Wizards in what amounted to a salary dump so the Bulls would have enough money to pursue...

Portland Future Age: 25 DOB: 10/14/86 POB: San Antonio, Tex. Height: 6-5 Weight: 220 lbs Experience: Three Years Wesley Matthews (Jr.) (Portland Trail Blazers) has $34 million reasons to be thankful for the worst day of his professional life, though if you would have told him that three years ago, the former Marquette University standout would likely not have believed it. Report: Hinrich, Bulls agree to deal

Veteran guard Kirk Hinrich has agreed to a deal to return to the Chicago Bulls. A person with knowledge of the NBA confirmed the deal on condition of anonymity Monday because it has not been announced. Free agents can't sign new contracts until Wednesday. Hinrich's decision was first reported by the Chicago Tribune. The 31-year-old Hinrich spent his first seven seasons...

Requiem For An Ad-Man - A Treatise, Written In A Fit Of Pique At A Desperate Hour, Concerning Larry Miller's Empty Legacy

Larry Miller's sudden promotion to power within the Portland Trail Blazers’ organization five years ago was representative of the zeitgeist of the consumerist post-modern age. Style over substance. Quick fixes over practicality. Panache over pragmatism. Simply put, he gamely attempted to trick all of us into buying the notion that he knew anything about basketball, or sports...

Relax Portland Trail Blazers Fans, This Isn’t A Failure

This just in:  Roy Hibbert isn’t coming to Portland.  This also just in:  The sky isn’t falling. As I write this, it’s apparent that the coveted free agent (restricted as he may be) center the Portland Trail Blazers targeted will not be a Blazer.  The restricted free agent (Nicolas Batum) they currently hold the rights to allegedly wants out.  And former team president...
