SLAM Online:
According to Maccabi Haifa’s owner, Jordan Farmar may soon take his locked-out talents to Israel for a few months. From the Star-Ledger: “Nets backup point guard Jordan Farmar is in talks with Maccabi Haifa, according to the Israeli team’s owner Jeffrey Rosen, a New Jersey native who grew up in West Orange and graduated from West Essex High School. ‘We’ve been in serious talks with Jordan Farmar, who has expressed great interest to play for Maccabi Haifa,’ Rosen said in a news release. ‘We believe we are close to an agreement, but we have a few more hurdles to overcome to make it happen. We would love to have Jordan Farmar join Maccabi Haifa during the NBA lockout and we find his aspirations to play in Israel to be inspirational.’ The Nets played Maccabi Haifa in a preseason game last October at the Prudential Center. Maccabi Haifa is also the team that signed American high schooler Jeremy Tyler after his junior year at San Diego high school.”
