Newly acquired Detroit Pistons guard Jose Calderon has been cleared to return to the court when the Pistons face the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden. Calderon, who played all of his previous seven years in the NBA in Toronto, was dealt to the Pistons in the deal that sent Rudy Gay to the Raptors. The Pistons announced that Calderon would be ready Monday for his Pistons debut. As a Raptor this season, Calderon started in 30 of the 45 games while playing about 28 minutes a game. In that time, he averaged 11.1 points on 47% shooting from the field and 90.4% from the free throw line to go along with 7.4 assists. How Calderon will fit into the Pistons will be something to watch for in his debut. With Calderon, the Pistons could potentially move Brandon Knight to the two slot, which is better suited for him anyway. However, being that Calderon has only been a Piston for such a short time, it may take time for him to take full reigns of the point guard position. In the two games that he sat out, Calderon took notes on a pad.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs"); var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-34100676-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ?
