Josh Childress and his sublime afro are back in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns after a two-year stint in Greece, playing with Olympiakos of the Greek league. The one-time Atlanta Hawk had some interesting things to say about “fan interaction” during his playing days in Europe.
Greeks take their basketball seriously, according to Childress, and they’re not shy about pelting the hometown players with various objects, including ceramic, pieces of marble, cell phones, firecrackers, and worst of all, human excrement.
