Kevin Garnett spends his summers in Malibu, and he’ll now spend the winter and NBA season in Brooklyn. With a setup like that, who needs a pad in Boston.
NESN is reporting that Garnett is selling his lovely Boston area five bedroom mansion for a cool $4.8 million.
The home has five bedrooms and sits on more than 12 acres of land. It comes with five full and two half baths — not to mention a home gym, a media room, a wine cellar and spectacular views of a large pond right in the home’s backyard

It was a different time and a different kind of basketball.
But no matter how the issue is painted Red Auerbach‘s daughter Randy Auerbach is adamant about this: Her father would not have traded career Celtic Paul Pierce and he probably wouldn’t have let Kevin Garnett go either.

Paul Pierce grabbed a rebound less than three minutes into the Nets’ preseason game Tuesday in Washington took a dribble and fired a pass up to Shaun Livingston at midcourt.
Livingston then took one dribble followed by two long graceful strides launched himself from a step inside the foul line and glided past two Wizards defenders to the rim where he slammed the ball through the...
No need to hit the panic button Nets fans but Deron Williams will be sitting out the next three preseason games as his sprained right ankle continues to heal.
"[My ankle's] getting better everyday," Williams said after signing autographs at a Nets community event in Brooklyn. "(We're) taking it slow, but with the goal of being ready for Game 1 [of the regular...
Ok, the “cutting of ties” isn’t really that intense, but as a diehard Brooklyn Nets fan this makes me very happy to see. Newly acquired big man, leader, motivator, archangel, bad*ass, boss man, father figure, Kevin Garnett is has listed his Concord, Massachusetts mansion for $4.85 million.
The house makes sense for a guy like KG, and according to Realtor:
It is no surprise...
Brooklyn Nets coach Jason Kidd says it’s a possibility that Deron Williams could miss the start of the regular season due to an ankle sprain that has kept him sidelined in training camp and the preseason.
According to ESPN New York:
“This is going to be a question that we’re probably going to have to deal with every day until he does get the green light to go,” Kidd said...
The Brooklyn Nets will go as far as Deron Williams leads them.
The Nets point guard has been dealing with an ankle injury and head coach Jason Kidd told ESPN New York that the ankle could lead Williams to miss the start of the regular season.

When the Nets take the floor Friday at the team’s New Jersey practice facility Deron Williams will mostly be watching from the sidelines.
Williams has been very limited in his participation since the start of training camp last week because of the sprained right ankle and accompanying bone bruise he suffered during an offseason workout in Utah early last month and likely will...

Pistons vs. Nets
The Brooklyn Nets will make their preseason home debut tonight against the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons, who made several moves to bring in talented players, will put them on the court to start the game tonight as will the Nets with the exception of Deron Williams who continues to nurse an injury.
The Nets are 1-0 after a thrilling...

The Nets lost their second preseason game on Saturday night to the Detroit Pistons 99-88. It was a tough night for the Nets on the court as they had both offensive and defensive lapses throughout different times of the game.
The Nets still have a ways to go if they want to compete for a championship. One of the biggest concerns tonight was the...
Howard Beck of Bleacher Report has an update on the impact Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are making in Brooklyn:
Pierce and Garnett represent everything the Nets lacked: toughness, accountability, ferocity and a dedication to the defensive arts. Outside of Evans and the rapidly declining Gerald Wallace, the Nets had no defensive conscience last season.
That conscience is now easy...
WALTHAM, Mass. — Brandon Bass is no Rajon Rondo.
Bass could only mimic his teammate’s disinterested attitude toward the Brooklyn Nets for so long before breaking on Monday. When Rondo was asked on media day what he felt upon hearing Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce had been traded, the point guard muttered, “Nothing.”
Bass wasn’t quite so cold when asked about the Celtics’...
