He may not have changed the outcome, but Kevin Garnett can change a game.  He's done it his whole career.  And he always seems to play better in the big games.  Last night's game against the Miami Heat would have qualified.  No one wants to be the next team to help increase the streak.  But that's what happened with Garnett on the bench. The Heat took on the Celtics last night while Garnett sat with an injury and an illness.  The Celtics are being as cautious as possible with Garnett, so they held him out of the game.  He may have been the boost the Celtics needed, though. It was a close game throughout, but the Heat eventually prevailed 105-103.  Garnett could have helped drop the Heat to end the streak.  However, the Celtics are focusing on being healthy come playoff time.  Playing Garnett last night would not have made sense.  But it may have helped the Celtics keep the Heat from running their streak to 23 games in a row.Garnett has not been the same this year.  It may be because of the extra workload with Ray Allen gone and Rajon Rondo injured, but Garnett has struggled.  He's still been productive, but Garnett is averaging 14.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game this season.  In his career, he has averaged 19.1 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
