The first half of the NBA season was filled to the brim with goodness in Minnesota. The young Timberwolves looked to be finally turning the corner and were actually looked like a team with a pulse.
But in the past month, they’ve lost Ricky Rubio to a season ending injury and they’re now in the middle of a three game losing streak. Frustrations are obviously high and those frustrations bubbled over last night as Kevin Love and J.J Barea had to be separated by teammates during a timeout during their loss to the Kings.
Afterwards, Love and Barea both said the right things.
“Frustration,” Barea said.
Barea called the afternoon’s outcome “terrible, worst loss of the year if you want to put it timingwise” after the Wolves committed 21 turnovers and acquiesced in a fourth quarter when they gave up the good fight, after losing in overtime at Utah on Thursday and remaining respectable against the Lakers on Friday.
