Troubled Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended “indefinitely for unprofessional behavior and conduct detrimental to the team.” The suspension comes following the Kings game against the Clippers on Friday night when Cousins and head coach Keith Smart got into it and Smart made the decision to have Cousins sit out the second half of the loss.
Last night, Cousins didn’t believe the incident would impact him beyond last night.
“It happens all the time between players and coaches,” Cousins said. “I believe we’ll talk about it, get past it and we’ll move forward.”
Clearly the Kings brass felt differently. Cousins was suspended this season for confronting Spurs analyst Sean Elliot and most recently had a tiff wit Mavs guard OJ Mayo who went on to say Cousins’ has “issues.”
There were also several incidents in the past where the center’s maturity level was called into question.

DeMarcus Cousins is in serious need of an attitude adjustment. Now in his third year as a pro, you could make the argument that the former Kentucky standout has regressed. Statistically, Cousins is right where he has been throughout his career — roughly 16 points and 10 rebounds per game. But emotionally, he seems as bad as ever.

DeMarcus Cousins has been reinstated by the Kings.
My headline is serious. I'll leave this simple as I dont' really care that DeMarcus Cousins is not on the court. This is a guy averaging 16.5 points, 9.5 boards, 41.4% from the field shooting wise, and is one of the reasons the Kings are a terrible defensive team.
Is Keith Smart or Geoff Petrie to blame? Both have their faults, and I'd fire Petrie now. I'd fire...
