Carmelo Anthony's temper got the best of him.  While Anthony says he was not trying to engage in anything besides a discussion with Kevin Garnett, the truth is Anthony went after the Boston Celtics' star twice after the New York Knicks' loss on Monday.  And for it, Anthony has been suspended.According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, Anthony has been suspended one game by the NBA.  He will serve his suspension tonight against the Indiana Pacers.  The NBA felt Anthony's actions were egregious enough to warrant a suspension despite his attempts to downplay the situation."There are no circumstances in which it is acceptable for a player to confront an opponent after a game," NBA executive vice president basketball operations Stu Jackson said in a statement. "Carmelo Anthony attempted to engage with Kevin Garnett multiple times after Monday's game and therefore a suspension was warranted."Anthony's suspension will hurt, but the Knicks have played without Anthony numerous times this season.  At three different points in the season, Anthony has missed two games at a time due to injury.  The Knicks superstar is important to the team's success, but New York has proven to be an impressive all-around team.  They should be able to match-up well with the Pacer even without Anthony.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs"); var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-34100676-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ?
