The KnicksJournal.com team was in Orlando to watch the Knicks and Magic rumble at the Amway Center on Tuesday night.Coincidentally enough, the most rumbling came from Magic fans, who were seemingly very excited that their team stayed in the game as long as they did.As fate would have it though, New York fans came out in force as the Amway Center seemed like a sea of orange and blue "number seven"jerseys. Faint "Let's Go Knicks!" chants could be heard around the arena, and it was clear the opponent was represented quite well (sometimes better than the Magic), even on the road. The contest was a rather mundane one for the Knicks' offense, but as Coach Mike Woodson has said repeatedly, if the team's defense is on point, they will more often than not come out victorious. The Knicks' kept the Magic down long enough to come away with a 99-89 win, limiting their opponent to 13 fourth quarter points. But the rest of the game didn't come so easy for the K...

MVP discussions taking place in the NBA are dumb

The NBA is not quite 3 weeks old, and MVP conversations are already taking place. Major League baseball is about to announce their selection for AL MVP, and there is a strong argument for both of those candidates and it is hard to say either would be the wrong selection. But making a case for [...]

Are the New York Knicks legit?

The biggest question in the NBA that begs to be answered right now is ‘are the New York Knicks for real?’ Seriously. We know they were one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference, but are they one of the best teams in that group? The difference as slight as it might be is giant in scope.  Please Click Here To Read This Story

Knicks-Magic Preview

With Carmelo Anthony leading the way, the New York Knicks are one of the highest-scoring teams in the league. It's their commitment on the defensive end, though, that's set them apart from the pack. The Knicks try to extend their best start in 19 seasons Tuesday night when they visit the Orlando Magic, who are hoping to avoid matching their longest losing streak from 2011...

Spurs 'run out of gas' in loss to undefeated Knicks

If I told you New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony finished a game with nine points, three assists, and two turnovers on 3-of-12 shooting, one would assume the Knicks would have probably been blown out. That’s why that is an assumption, in the past the Knicks might have been defeated with a low performance from “Melo”, but on Thursday in the AT&T Center, Raymond...

Knicks execute to the finish

Basketball, particularly high level basketball, is ostensibly a half-court game. You can try to push the pace and you can try to score in transition, but the majority of your points will come in half-court sets. Particularly late in close games, offense and scoring becomes more about exploiting matchups and creating plays when defenses begin to lock in. The Magic knew with...
