The New York Knicks have expressed interest in Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Luke Ridnour, according to source.

This rumor makes me wonder what the Knicks really want? Why Luke Ridnour? Don’t get me wrong, Luke is a very good shooter and we all know the New York Knicks need shooting and offense of any kind. However, Luke is small (6’2″ 175 pounds) and not very good defensively. He makes 4 million this year and next, so this means the Knicks would have to trade a player or two to make this deal work. Who are you going to trade to add Ridnour to the roster? I am not going to give up solid players when you have other glaring needs, are you? The Knicks also have three point guards on the roster. Raymond Felton is the starter and much needed. Jason Kidd has not been the same for a while now, but you are not going to slash his minutes down to 5-10 per game to give Luke some minutes. Pablo has been overwhelmed from time to time, but he has been exactly what I thought he would be, a capable 3rd string point guard who can be a back up if needed for long stretches. Does that mean you do not go out and get Luke? I am not sure if he is needed as much as a two guard who can defend as well as shoot. Even more of a need would be a power forward that can play in the post and be that tough guy the Knicks are looking for. A small point guard who plays mostly the two guard is not what I had in mind. Thoughts?

Add the New York Knicks Carmelo Anthony’s name to the list of NBA players that might skip the All-Star game due to injury.
Melo told the media that he has a ”deep” right arm contusion” after the Toronto Raptors DeMar DeRozen elbowed him in the arm.

Since the dawn of the 21st century, the New York Knicks have been quite active during the months of January and February in the hopes of completing a trade. Last year was one of the rare seasons where the Knicks front office was silent during the deadline. However, it appears that the Knicks may be back in the hunt for trades as there are rumors swirling that New York is interested...
When the Phoenix Shadow Mountain boys basketball team won Friday night, it snapped a 24-game winning streak by Sierra Linda.
But that’s not the only thing that snapped.
Mike Bibby got ejected and then escorted. Ejected from the game by the refs and escorted out of the gymnasium by Scottsdale police.
As usual, Bibby was in the stands for this sectional game. He was arguing...
The Knicks need a much-needed win headed into the All-Star Break after their lackluster effort in a home loss to the Clippers on Sunday afternoon. Yes, the Knicks are 7-3 in their last 10 games, but most of those wins have come from much lesser opponents. The Knicks recently lost to Philly and Washington, two teams with bad records who are playing better as of late…enter the...
The Knicks had hoped to go 9-2 over their last eleven games heading into the All-Star Break. Given some of the formidable opponents ahead, a couple of losses would have been understandable and easier to cope with.A demoralizing loss to the Raptors certainly was never accounted for, however. Hosting Rudy Gay, Landry Fields, and the Raps at home in their final game before the break...
So much for a sore right ankle, New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler looked at the top of his game tonight against the Toronto Raptors. On this play Raymond Felton threw up an alley-oop ball to Chandler, who was breaking to the basket after a pick and roll. The impressive thing is Chandler had his back to the basket while jumping, caught the ball, turned his head and nailed...
Carmelo Anthony suffered a right arm contusion last night during the Knicks loss to the Toronto Raptors, and the injury may be significant enough to cause Melo to miss the All Star Game according to ESPN New York.
Anthony said he felt discomfort throughout the game, and said the bruising was deep. He emphasized he would not risk further injury, and was willing to sit out the game...
MINNEAPOLIS A trick of the schedule, and they're all thinking back to last season.
Last season, just as this one, the final game before the All-Star break ended with the Jazz. It ended with a close game, a floater from Luke Ridnour to win the thing, 100-98, and to push the Timberwolves to .500.
Consider that moment, for a second, rather than the spring collapse that obscured...
